END OF IST PERIOD

MSU leads 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. With eight penalties in the period, it's been a lot of special teams-play so far.

The Mavericks have had at least three good scoring opportunities but couldn't convert. Davis fired a wrist shot off the post late in the period. The teams will play 4-on-4 for the first 38 seconds of the second period, with the Beavers getting a power play for 21 seconds after the Mavericks' penalty expires.
